Those who experience itchy, irritated, or inflamed scalps may especially benefit from the soothing, non-irritant properties of this carrier oil. Due to its nourishing composition, frequent application to the hair is believed to accelerate hair growth, add a natural sheen and bounce to the hair strands.

Jojoba Seed Oil

It is rich in vitamin E. Lubricant and hair conditioner, Jojoba closely resembles the natural moisturising oil, sebum, that is secreted by human skin. One of our most popular items. Fractionated Coconut (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride). Comes from the fruit or seed of the coconut palm tree Cocos Nucifera. It is also used on oily skin as it will not clog pores. It can also be used as a treatment to condition dull or dry hair. for everyday use. Exceptional quality and choice.

Argan Oil

Argan oil is derived from the nuts of the argan tree. The fruit of the tree is green and resembles an olive, but is larger. Inside, there is a hard-shelled nut which can contain up to three kernels from which the argan oil is then extracted. The traditional production of this oil is demanding, it takes about 100kg of fruits to make just 2-3 litres of oil. Traditionally, Argan oil was used extensively in Morocco as a topical oil to treat dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema, wrinkles, joint pain, and skin inflammation. It is also used to prevent hair loss and dry hair. Argan oil is rich in Omega-6 fatty acid, which means it helps with skin rejuvenation and skin elasticity. It is easily absorbed into the skin and has strong anti-inflammatory properties. Argan Oil provides intense conditioning benefits to dry and dehydrated skin and hair. When applied to the skin, Argan Oil particularly helps restore, regenerate and restructure the skin by way of increasing the nutrient content of skin cells. Argan Oil has sought-after antioxidant properties which makes it especially beneficial in skincare products. Argan Oil also has strengthening effects on hair.

Grape Seed Oil

Grapeseed oil is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), mostly omega-6 fatty acids. Grapeseed oil is a good source of vitamin E, even more so than olive oil. Vitamin E is a vitamin that works as a fat-soluble antioxidant, which helps protect your cells from damaging free radicals. Grapeseed oil may improve the condition of your hair and scalp. If you have dandruff, which is often caused by a dry scalp, applying emollient grapeseed oil to your scalp can help loosen dead skin and restore moisture. Grapeseed oil is used as a natural remedy for baldness. Linolenic acid is thought to stimulate hair growth. The oil contains flavonoids called procyanidin oligomers. These are powerful antioxidants to induce hair growth.
Researchers discovered by treating shaved mice with proanthocyanidins from grape seeds that they promote proliferation of hair follicle cells in vitro and that they possess remarkable hair-cycle-converting activity from the telogen phase to the anagen phase. Please note that Davy & Dina does not condone any animal testing whatsoever.

Vitamin E Natural

This product is derived from highly refined soy beans. Tocopherols are natural antioxidants and while alpha tocopherol has the highest biological activity, when it comes to product protection (stability to prevent oil oxidation or discolouration) a general mixture of tocopherols can perform just as well. This makes our mixed tocopherols a great choice for boosting the shelf life of your formulation. of our most popular items.

Lavender Oil

Lavender essential oil recently gained attention for stimulating hair growth. A 2016 studyTrusted Source
found that lavender oil applied to mice made them grow more hair. Their hair also grew thicker and faster than normal. Please note that Davy & Dina does not condone any animal testing whatsoever. This benefit is way more effective when the oil can work itself into the skin. Per these studies, lavender oil may help with issues like pattern baldness or alopecia.
Lavender essential oil has been known for its antiseptic, anti-microbial and analgesic properties. When inhaled through vaporised air lavender also acts as a sedative and relaxant, helping to reduce feelings of stress. Lavender has also been noted for its ability to accelerate wound healing although scientific evidence to back this up is patchy. Lavender has also been promoted as a topical agent for the relief of itchy skin after research found the oil may inhibit parts of the allergic pathway.
A 2011 study found that lavender essential oil could help prevent head lice. It may even kill head lice. Using lavender oil could possibly reduce the risk of getting lice. Using tea tree oil with it could be even more successful. But that doesn’t mean these oils are a replacement for your prescribed treatment plan — you shouldn’t rely solely on oils to treat head lice.

Rosemary

Rosemary has been used in folk medicine to stimulate hair growth as a rinse for many centuries. The most important constituents of rosemary are thought to be caffeic acid and its derivatives such as rosmarinic acid; these compounds have antioxidant effects. This plant is used against various hair and scalp disorders, such as early baldness or dandruff and is frequently used as a component of shampoos and conditioners.

Peppermint

Peppermint is a plant native to Europe and has been used in cosmetic formulations as a fragrance component and skin conditioning agent. Researchers investigated the effect of peppermint essential oil on hair growth in mice. They applied different solutions to mice, including saline, jojoba oil, minoxidil and 3% peppermint essential oil. After 4 weeks, they evaluated the different groups of mice in terms hair growth and various genetic markers. Out of all four groups of tested mice, peppermint essential oil showed the most prominent hair growth effects – researchers found a significant increase in dermal thickness, follicle number and follicle depth. Genetic markers were also significantly increased in the peppermint essential oil group. These results suggest that peppermint essential oil induces a rapid anagen stage and could be used for a practical agent for hair growth. Please note that Davy & Dina does not condone any animal testing whatsoever.
